Statement by Tim Murphy, Chair - Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority

Windsor, Ontario - The following statement was issued today by Tim Murphy, Chair, Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA), Board of Directors
“As Chair of WDBA’s Board of Directors, I am pleased to welcome new board member Lindsay Krauss. Her experience working on a wide range of construction and infrastructure projects, including the Samuel De Champlain Bridge Corridor, will benefit the Board and WDBA management as we oversee the delivery of the Gordie Howe International Bridge project.
I thank outgoing member Judi Cohen for the dedication, integrity and passion she demonstrated throughout her term which started in 2017.”
The Board of Directors has overall responsibility for the oversight of WDBA, holds management accountable for fulfilling WDBA’s statutory mandate and achieving corporate objectives, and ensures that significant risks to the corporation are identified and well managed. It also plays an important role in setting WDBA’s strategic direction and ensuring alignment with the priorities of the Government of Canada.
