Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA) was recognized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Detroit with a Beacon Award of Excellence for Corporate Communications Team of the Year at a ceremony on December 8, 2022, at TechTown Detroit.  

One of six IABC Beacon Awards, the prestigious distinction is presented to organizations for excellence in communications through meaningful and impactful campaigns in Michigan. 

WDBA received the award for its dedication to ethical communications, professionalism and the execution of its strategic objectives supporting stakeholder and shareholder engagement throughout the region.

“Our Corporate Affairs and External Relations team takes an integrated approach toward communications ensuring proactive engagement with communities on both sides of the border to keep them informed and involved,” says Heather Grondin, Vice President, Corporate Affairs and External Relations for WDBA. “I’m honoured that IABC Detroit has recognized my team members for their work on the Gordie Howe International Bridge project.”
