On May 29, 2019, representatives from Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority’s (WDBA) Communications and Stakeholder Relations team were on hand in Toronto, Ontario, at the Ovation Awards Gala to accept an Award of Merit from the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Toronto Region in the Government Communications Division for their work on the Gordie Howe International Bridge project.

IABC is recognized as the professional association of choice for communicators and is committed towards establishing and supporting the highest professional standards of quality and innovation in organizational communication.

“We are honoured to be recognized by the IABC for our communications efforts surrounding Financial Close and official construction start on the Gordie Howe International Bridge project. I am humbled by the dedication and outstanding efforts of my team and thank them for their ongoing efforts as we work together to tell the story of this once-in-a-generation project.” Heather Grondin, Vice President, Communications and Stakeholder Relations, WDBA

The dedicated team members of professional communicators at WDBA bring together a variety of communications experience that they use to assist in delivering North America’s largest infrastructure project. The synergy among the team is one of the reasons they are looked upon by their peers as leaders in the field of public-private partnerships (P3) communications.
