The accolades keep coming.

The organizers of the 2019 P3 Awards have shortlisted Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA) in the category of Government Agency of the Year and the Gordie Howe International Bridge project as Best Road/Bridge/Tunnel Project.

Now in its sixth year, the P3 Awards, sponsored by P3 Bulletin, is one of the largest events recognising and rewarding the best in public-private partnerships (P3s) from around the globe. Each year, the awards ceremony attracts over 400 people to celebrate the industry’s achievements. The P3 Awards 2019 are being judged by a panel of over 80 industry experts and the award recipients will be announced on October 3, 2019 in New York.

Gordie Howe International Bridge workers recognized for lifesaving actions

In November 2023, two Gordie Howe International Bridge workers rescued four members of the public from a capsized boat in the frigid waters of the Detroit River. Now, their life-saving efforts are being recognized with Fluor’s Silver Medallion of Safety.
