Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA) is about more than just building a bridge - we are committed to building partnerships with communities and our stakeholders on both sides of the border.

WDBA has partnered with the University of Windsor’ Co-operative Education & Workplace Partnerships program since 2016. The program integrates valuable work experience with classroom learning and professional development opportunities.

“The Gordie Howe International Bridge project is an exceptional learning opportunity for students.” Says Michelle Balga, WDBA’s Manager of Human Resources. “Their placement provides a practical workplace experience and allows them to earn credits towards their future degree.”

To date, WDBA has provided 32 paid work opportunities, all related to the students’ area of study.

Learn about our current roster of students as interviewed by our very own communications students, Courtney Ellis and Matthew Moxey.
