Crowd and podium at WDBA's Annual Public Meeting

On February 11, 2016, at 2:00 p.m., Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA) held its first Annual Public Meeting (APM). The meeting which covered the 2014-2015 fiscal year, was held at Mackenzie Hall Cultural Centre in Windsor, Ontario was attended by more than 100 people.

As a Canadian Crown corporation, WDBA is responsible to the public. The APM is an opportunity for WDBA to share information on its operations and activities, and to solicit feedback from the public.

The APM was webcast for those unable to attend in person and WDBA accepted questions both in advance and at the APM. A list of the questions and responses will be available in the coming weeks.

Gordie Howe International Bridge workers recognized for lifesaving actions

In November 2023, two Gordie Howe International Bridge workers rescued four members of the public from a capsized boat in the frigid waters of the Detroit River. Now, their life-saving efforts are being recognized with Fluor’s Silver Medallion of Safety.
