WDBA is honoured to welcome new Directors Karla Avis, Judi Cohen, Shelly Cunningham, Rish Malhotra and Marie Campagna (former interim member) to our Board.

The new members will join our existing Board members in bringing a wealth of knowledge, skills and expertise to the delivery of the Gordie Howe International Bridge project.

Our Board members represent the areas of engineering, finance, legal, accounting, business management, infrastructure, stakeholder relations and technology. They are uniquely skilled to contribute to the success of our current works in procurement and preparatory activities and through our upcoming design and construction phase.

With these Governor in Council (GiC) appointments made by the Government of Canada, WDBA’s Board reflects the importance of gender balance in governance. In fact, balanced representation of women within GiC appointed positions is a priority for the Government of Canada.

The Board of Directors plays an Communities important role for WDBA. It is accountable for the stewardship and oversight of the Crown corporation. The Board of Directors must meet at a minimum once every quarter, however over the past year has met at least monthly reflecting the important work underway at this stage of the Gordie Howe International Bridge project.

Our upcoming Annual Public Meeting will provide an opportunity to meet the Board of Directors. Watch for details coming soon.
