The Gordie Howe International Bridge project has wrapped up another big year. 2022 was one of our busiest years of construction to date, and we’re excited to share some highlights and accomplishments we’re proud of through photos, videos, and graphics.

Gordie Howe International Bridge workers recognized for lifesaving actions

In November 2023, two Gordie Howe International Bridge workers rescued four members of the public from a capsized boat in the frigid waters of the Detroit River. Now, their life-saving efforts are being recognized with Fluor’s Silver Medallion of Safety.
