Windsor, Ontario - The following statement was issued today by Bryce Phillips, Chief Executive Officer - Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority 

“Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority (WDBA) is honoured to welcome Tim Smith to the Board of Directors. Mr. Smith brings over 35 years of experience and expertise in construction to the Gordie Howe International Bridge project. 

The Board plays an important role for the project and our organization. The duties and responsibilities of the board are to set corporate objectives and direction, ensure good governance, monitor financial performance, approve budgets and financial statements, approve policies and by-laws, as well as ensure that risks are identified and managed.

We look forward to working with Mr. Smith as we continue to move forward with construction of the Gordie Howe International Bridge project.”
