On November 14, 2014, members of the International Authority toured the inspection plaza sites on both sides of the border as well as the Rt. Hon. Herb Gray Parkway – the new access road on the Canadian side.

The tour, taken by boat and bus, provided an opportunity for the International Authority members to see the shoreline from the vantage point of the Detroit River. The tour also allowed them to see first-hand the magnitude of the plaza sites and the amount of activity already underway with the construction of the new highway access route to the Canadian plaza.
