A. Concrete Mixer

This machine helps to make cement for foundations and buildings. The "drum" or body of the mixer spins and mixes water, sand, gravel and cement to form concrete.

B. Crane

Cranes are used to lift large heavy objects to high places. They are also used to move objects from one place to another using a boom, which is the arm of a crane.

C. Dump Truck

A dump truck is used to carry or haul large amounts of dirt and gravel to, from and around the construction site.

D. Excavators

Excavators consist of a boom, dipper, bucket and cab on a rotating platform. The cab is sometimes referred to as a "house." This machine helps to dig trenches and holes.

E. Bulldozer

This machine is used to push large amounts of soil, rock, gravel and sand around the construction site. Did you know it is also a type of tractor?
