Job Opportunities on the Gordie Howe International Bridge Project
New Community Benefits Plan Investments Announced for Windsor and Detroit
On February 1, 2023, the Gordie Howe International Bridge project team announced $2.3 (CDN) million of Community Benefits Plan funding has been invested into new initiatives.
Eleven new projects and six existing initiatives will receive funding as part of the Neighbourhood Infrastructure Strategy, a $20 million (CDN) direct community investment on both sides of the border developed through extensive community feedback.
We would like to acknowledge that the land where the Gordie Howe International Bridge project is being constructed sits on Anishinaabe Territory. The Anishinaabeg in the Windsor area are known as the Three Fires Confederacy which consists of the Ojibwe, Odawa, and Potawatomi Nations. This land has also served as a place of refuge for the Huron/Wendat people.
